My own personal journey in Homeopathy began after receiving successful treatment in 1987. A back injury treated successfully with homeopathy had me sufficiently intrigued to begin my 4 year course of study with Nuala Eising at the Burren School of Homeopathy. I come from an engineering background and homeopathy struck me as a true form of science that sparked my interest. As I went on to witness how it can affect and improve peoples lives so my passion for homeopathy grew and grew and continues to grow today.

Leaving my engineering career behind I went on to become a qualified practitioner of homeopathy and a member of the Irish Society of Homeopaths. My first practice flourished in O’Beirns pharmacy on Henry street in Galway for 7 years until I moved my practice to my home in Ballinderreen, Kilcolgan where I practised for another 5 years. I moved back home to Clare 2 years ago and set up St. Brigid’s healing centre and my own private practice.

Over the last 14 years I have continued to study extensively. I am fortunate to be part of a group of homeopaths from all over the world who meet annually in Europe and biannually in Mumbai in India to study together. This core group work together to advance homeopathy through sharing the results of our clinical experience, publishing books, and teaching seminars etc.

My passion to advance homeopathy and to see it form part of an integrated health care system led me to become involved in homeopathy education. I have been an active member of the European Network for Homeopathy Educators since 1998, co-writing the European Guidelines for Homeopathy Education. I have been lecturing in homeopathy since 1995 and have taught in Ireland, the UK, Europe and Australia. In 2004 I set up the Galway College of Homeopathy.

I have used homeopathy for the treatment of people of all ages with a diversity of of ailments including childhood illnesses, skin complaints, allergies, rheumatic complaints, grief, anxiety, depression, womens health issues, respiratory ailments, cardiac ailments, and insomnia etc.

However, the areas closest to my heart are the first and last stages of life. Pregnancy, labour and birth, where new life forms, treating ailments such as postnatal care for baby blues, and breastfeeding problems etc. Also working with people with terminal illness and watching how beautifully the remedies can ease suffering whilst the therapeutic relationship itself provides solace and a safe place to explore what lies ahead.
